This option extends the side pods out 2.5" on each side, totaling 5 inches wider than the standard extensions, resulting in more sleeping length for sleeping east to west. A great option if you are over 6' tall in a mid size truck, or over 6.5' tall in a full size truck. It also allows for more storage space within the side pods.
